Award of the day

Team of the Day: Austria. I'm opt to say Croatia because of their ultimate awesome-ness, but when the 92nd team of the world drew with Poland today, you have to give them some credit! If this doesn't rally up their supporters behind the national team, I don't know what will. Plus, they also guarantee Croatia being the 2nd team go through into the knock out stage early. Also their fans just won themselves a “This is AnfieldAustria” Award.

Antonio Cassano Award: Tough one, but while Olive might look like a Cassno, Bastian Schweinsteiger actually ACTed like one. He decided to get a piece of the Croatian player and got a straight red in return. Nice job Schweini, you're now on my new You-Are-Stupid-and-I-Hate-You short list, along with Poldoski and Lampard.

OMG Your coach just turns into a girl Award: Slaven Billic. Reason, See picture.
One less thing to worry about Award: Ivica Vastic. He just won a lifetime of free beer, Bottoms up!!

Jurgen Klinsmann Award: Receding hair lines, smoking hotness, superior kola skills, excessive facial/body expression when score/concede/miss/foul/got fouled. Basically he beat Loew in every single aspect.
AC Milan “Where the hell is our midfielder?” award: Torsten Frings. The only time you'll see him is, a) Corner kicks, b) Throw ins, c) Free kick, d) Complaining to the referee, or e) Talking to his fellow also-ineffective-midfielder Michael Ballack.
Buffon's “Welcome to the Club” Award: Lehmann. Because this is a strange strange world. Can you believe Spain and Neverland only conceded one goal together? And Italy plus Germany have 5 already.
UEFA Stat Award: Poland. By losing to Austria, it took away all the excitement and mystery of Group B. If Croatia and Poland and Germany all end up 6 point at the end (if Poland win against Austria and Croatia), I would love to see how they decide who goes through because base on record, the table would go like this for,
Germany: Croatia > Germany > Poland
Croatia: Poland > Croatia > Germany
Poland: Germany > Poland> Croatia
But now we will never find out.

2008 六月 13 at 10:48 am LOL dude you have obviously read too much offside stuff, this is so offside-like post! XD
And you are so mean to Cassano! He has never got a red card with the national team. (But I am afraid he'll get it this time, cuz both Totti and DDR have got it before, you know it runs in the family...orz)
